The second to last February album to be retroactively reviewed until I can finally move on to March. This is going to be a fun ride, right?

Prog used to be my favorite genre of music (my room is still decked out in Frank Zappa and Yes memorabilia). The quirky lyrics from Sean Lennon and the great bass lines from Les Claypool fit very nicely together and "South Of Reality" is a very fun, albeit very bizarre, listen.

Fav Tracks: Amethyst Realm, Toady Man's Hour, Blood And Rockets, Easily Charmed By Fools, Boriska, South Of Reality

Least Fav Track: Little Fishes

I like the weird lyrics, sometimes performed via allegories, like their jabs at modern politics, and their satire of it. Instrumentally it has some interesting Sean Lennon guitar riffs, and Les Claypool bass riffs, even if ... read more
