Novos Baianos Acabou Chorare is a nice and sweet Samba album, providing us with some great moments on the album all the way through.

I randomly came to listen to this album after looking at user scores for the 1970's and I saw this album and the cover just really peaked my interest, and I am so glad to check it out! Oh this album is good fun... one of the best late 60's/early 70's Brazilian releases. Pretty amazing that this thing came out in '72 because some of these songs sound very modern. At times the percussion is a bit too jam band sounding for me (Tinindo Trincando for example), but I understand they are the influencer and not the influenced. Overall this album is really fantastic and joyful.

Especially love Brasil Pandeiro, Besta é Tu & Preta Pretinha, but its all good really.
