Oh shit oh fuck I'm dead for this one

This isn't a bad album, despite this rating. I just really don't enjoy listening to it. I think the main issue I have comes from Ben's voice - he's one of the few vocalists I really can't stand, which has caused me to struggle to enjoy both Death Cab and The Postal Service. This isn't a bad album. In fact, I recommend it if you don't mind the vocals and just want a fun indie rock album. But yeah, this really isn't for me.

It's beautifully written and Ben Gibbard's introspective lyrics are a high point. The instrumentation and melodies are gorgeous as well! Overall, "Transatlanticism" is their best record yet!

You’ll hear themes pop up frequently about ... read more

I've always loved this album but after listening to it again after like a two year break, it's even more special than I gave it credit for.

Best: Tiny Vessels, Passenger Seat, Transatlanticism, The New Year, Title & Registration, A Lack of Color, The Sound of Settling, Expo '86, Death of an Interior Decorator

Worst: Lightness
