Despite that its legacy is likely to forever be "the album that has 'Work It'," Under Construction has a whole lot more to offer than that. Pretty nicely done album with good features and performances, but not that interesting on every track. Production a bit inconsistent, but in general good. Pretty good album
"Under Construction" I would say is those albums that everyone should listen to before they die, the production is impeccable and the songs are delicately well made and impressive, I like the songwriting and the 90 interludes that each Missy album had disappeared.
Even during her "under construction" phase, Missy Elliott remains the smartest, female rapper who relies, proudly, on the achievements of the old-school to salute the present of hip-hop.
