Zorn a Day 057 - it’s annoying the other two albums are on spotify but i had to find this one in a collection

It’s bloated. It’s unwieldy. It’s great.

Yes, Execution Ground is easily the most unfocused and scatterbrained Painkiller album. Just this one record is double the length of both the other albums combined. But… hear me out. Yep that’s my actual score I really loved this. PainKiller is a project consisting of Mick Harris, Bill Laswell, and the legendary John Zorn. Which the project is mainly known for the combination of Jazz with Grindcore from the first 2 albums they had done. But with this it is more of combining their Avant-Garde Jazz style with Dark Ambient, and man oh man this works so damn well.
