Daughter fans looking for more of their panoramic leanings will be let down, but for everybody else this is a beautifully understated mood piece and Tonra’s finest work to date, with or without the band.
Tonra has now unleashed a collection of songs both personal and subtly visceral, leaving relatable sonic imprints for the listener to contemplate.
While there isn't always a tonne sonically to separate this from Tonra's day job, it must be applauded for its brutal honesty and moments of pure poetry.
The forlorn "Too Sad" is an example of a more high-contrast entry that alternates quiet piano and fuzz, but with "My Heart," Ex:Re finally disintegrates into silence.
