Upped rating for first two songs and nostalgia factor, but it's nothing special.
Unfortunately the Finnish group finds themselves more replete of energy with every new release. I give them props for still putting out half a decent album, but it's apparent the other half is fueled by naught but fumes.
Sometimes excellent but it lacks magic to be top COB album.
One of Children of Bodom's safest albums. Some tracks are pretty good, but others reek of filler (and this album is only 11 tracks long...yikes). If I'd rather listen to the new Buckcherry album than a CoB album, that either says a lot about the quality of Hexed or how much Buckcherry has improved.
Wow, I remember these guys from Guitar Hero 5. Hexed is a melodic death record, much like the band's normal material, but they do try out a few other styles here. There is the track "Say Never Look Back", which seems to be hardcore punk inspired, from the vocal style, to the punk instrumentals.
