There's always a case of "delusional" when it comes to Lana Del Rey's music and lyrics. Most of her songs feel like they are written about a persona and not her actual life but this! this is different. This is the raw Lana and realest Lana Del Rey you'll ever see. Very minimal instrumentation allowing the listener to hear and understand the lyrics.

probably one of my favorite singles of the year, she covers so much lyrically in such a refreshingly blunt manner. the hook on this song is so well performed and impressively makes it somewhat catchy. I do think the instrumental is a bit lacking and boring but Lana more than makes up for it’s shortcomings.
Her lyrics and singing continue to improve, but instrumentally this doesn't do enough to expand LDR's musical realm, relying on just piano accompaniment and a verse chord progression that's appeared on at least three other songs of hers. Her Jack Antonoff collaborations have already proved to be less punchy than what you might expect from the guy who produced Melodrama and Masseduction, but so far they've gotten off on solid writing and mood building. When I read the title, I was "oh shit another cringy song about how sad she is". This one shows how Lana del rey has evolved from her beginning. Positively I mean !

Her vocals aren't anymore soporific, there is a very specific dynamic (which I also find in Venice Bitch and mariners apartment complex).
