There's always a case of "delusional" when it comes to Lana Del Rey's music and lyrics. Most of her songs feel like they are written about a persona and not her actual life but this! this is different. This is the raw Lana and realest Lana Del Rey you'll ever see. Very minimal instrumentation allowing the listener to hear and understand the lyrics.

Her lyrics and singing continue to improve, but instrumentally this doesn't do enough to expand LDR's musical realm, relying on just piano accompaniment and a verse chord progression that's appeared on at least three other songs of hers. Her Jack Antonoff collaborations have already proved to be less punchy than what you might expect from the guy who produced Melodrama and Masseduction, but so far they've gotten off on solid writing and mood building. Unfortunately this doesn't quite make the ... read more

When I read the title, I was "oh shit another cringy song about how sad she is". This one shows how Lana del rey has evolved from her beginning. Positively I mean !

Her vocals aren't anymore soporific, there is a very specific dynamic (which I also find in Venice Bitch and mariners apartment complex). While she seems to throw numerous words and lines for few ideas, some of them are really good like the raw "Don't ask if I'm happy, you know that I'm not, but at best I can say I'm ... read more

Another pretty good teaser track though not as good as the other 2. She’s got a good sound going for this record.

the instrumental is way too basic, and the song sort of meanders to an end, but it’s a very lyric based song and hits on that chorus.

As someone who never really liked Lana's music, this past year has really turned my opinion on her around. Exploring the widespread epidemic of mass millennial depression on one of my favorite songs from last year, her collaboration with BORNS "God Save Our Young Blood," this adds on to an impressive track record to me.

This feels so personal, as if I was taking a look inside a soul that has had everything ripped to shreds, yet somehow has a sliver of light left inside, which is all ... read more

The queen of generic somber ballads teases her new album with a new single.

In this track, we receive straightforward piano chords which are pretty decently lo-fi, especially compared to the vocals which aren't crisp clear themselves (they have that "big room" effect to them). Outside of this, Lana Del Rey doesn't bring anything astounding or new to the table, apart from the fact that she pronounces her words more annoyingly than I'm used to. Maybe I'm being too nitpicky, but i ... read more

The lyrics and vocal performance on this song is quite impressive, however the instrumental is so muddled and low in the mix that sometimes I forget it's even there. In saying that it does make the song quite intimate and vulnerable which I enjoy

is this an actual song? it feels like the saddest and most disappointing cover of Adele i could think of. Emotion should be lapidated and turned into a jewel, literal raw emotion means nothing. i feel like i was fooled at some point. it has the cliché of a unfinished track: Chorus on her voice and side piano just so it looks like a finished ideia. Come on, i can't even rate this. and the thing that upsets me the most is that the only time she could do something off of 5 minutes of ... read more

This is the rawest Lana Del Rey has ever been. Loving this direction. I hope the rest of the album will be as good.

Average...but more importantly...doesn't Lana look like the Norf Norf Lady as she was about to cry on the cover.

Not her best song, but it's decent.

While definitely a little color by the numbers for a Lana Del Rey song this song has its moments. The song's chorus is both catchy and manages to be both melancholy and hopeful. This song continues to see Lana's songwriting improve but falls short of the mark set by songs like Mariners Apartment Complex. Probably the biggest disappointment on this song is the instrumental which never does much and really fails to help the vocal performance amount to much. Would love to have seen this song build ... read more

good music, but it's the same, lana have a think far away in yours compositions, nothing say about your truth life, only yours bad dates. If you did the same, you deserve bad rating

At first I was quite disappointed with the minimal instrumentation, but listening carefully to the lyrics really pays off. I think I’ve never heard a Lana this dark and desolate.
