'Vivisect VI' is where the Skinny Puppy sound starts to sound heavier, more metallic, with the noise of machinery meshing with even the occasional burst of electric guitar on the delightfully titled opener 'Dogshit'.

The political soundbites sampling on 'VX Gas Attack' brings their style closer to Ministry while 'Testure' is a bit of a throwback to the first album, but a welcome melodic and almost danceable detour.
