As someone who has been a pretty big fan of the Weeknd on the majority, if not all, of his outputs, this song simply didn't do it for me. The soul that is often heard in his voice simply wasn't there, for a song where the lyrics require just that.
However, the production is very interesting and smoothly executed, which definitely piqued my interest. Alas, to the dismay of Gesaffelstein, a song like this is a two way street, where both sides must be upheld.
