Nashville has the deepest grab-bag in contemporary pop right now, but nothing else comes together like Eric Church in the wild.

Finding his inspiration at the intersection of country and heavy metal, The Outsiders offers a dozen powerfully rocking tracks that sound like little else on the radio, anywhere on the dial. This is, emphatically, a good thing.

American Songwriter

Apart from one or two fleeting missteps, The Outsiders is a beautiful, quintessentially inclusive pop record dressed up as insurgent anti-pop.

Church has made the conscious decision to try a little bit of everything in his quest to be a savior to both rock and country, and if he doesn't quite knock it out of the park when he swings for the fences, he nevertheless scores.

A very enjoyable album! Eric Church has a really honest and sensitive voice in his songs! "The Outsiders" of course has some weak moments but not many albums are perfect and thats ok! You can find the strong songs easier.A beautiful contry-pop album that make Eric CHurch sounds like a BADASS from SOA!
