So here we are with my first album review of 2019. I never expected it to be a Watsky album, mostly because I had no idea he was working on a new LP, but it's actually fine with me. I have always admired his work, especially his last album, so where better to kick off the new year.

You can see Watsky's progression as an artist unfold on this record. One issue that I've always had with his albums is he is a mixed bag. He experiments with plenty of sounds and has lots of great ideas here, it's just that the execution of these ideas are can be hit or miss. Every time he impresses me, he always does something fucking weird to make me scratch my head.

Overall this album was a mixed bag having some of my favorite Watsky songs but also sadly some of his worst in my opinion. Some of the songs on this album I felt could have been better especially 'What Goes Up' and 'Fuck It Up' which I felt were kinda ruined by the excessive use of autotune on Watsky's voice.
