Jockstrap definitely has my favourite EP of this year with Wicked City so I thought I'd check out their previous work.

This EP isn't as blown out and glitched as Wicked City and is more blissful. This EP sounds like some shit you'd hear in an old-timey movie until we hit the halfway point of Joy, where the song harshly cuts into a glitch pop sequence. Production-wise this should be oil and water, but for some reason it. Just. Feels. Right? Like, this probably belongs a hundred years in the future, except it’s kinda nostalgic too? You’ve gotta listen to believe it yourself.

“Joy” had me grinning so hard, what an ear-worm.

Track by track review because I am bored.

Wet: Great opening, sounds like something out of "Titanic Rising" but more experimental.

I Want Another Affair: Elevator-esque glitchy lounge music from the year 3000.

Charlotte: My least favorite track so far, but i dig the minimalistic style, I would probably dig this track more if I were drunk on the backseat of a cab going home after a sad night at the club. The second half is dope though.
