Relistening to the first three Death Cab For Cutie for the first time in years, I've come to discover that each of these albums contains aspects of what I love about the band, yet they never all come together until "Transatlanticism." "Something About Airplanes" mostly nails the sound, but everything just comes off slightly muted. "We Have the Facts and We're Voting Yes" gets the production down, and pins down the structure of their songs, but they still don't know ... read more
