Solid post-rock record. This thing is chopped full of super solid guitar and drum work. Unfortunately, many of the soundscapes and atmospheres on the record just don't feel all that inspired or magical and that really weighs the album down. I was really hoping to enjoy this a bit more, but it was still pretty good.
That may be because I've had a lot of writing to do and there's no better accompaniment than some rousing post-rock, but honestly, this deserves to find a lot of love.
Beautiful, crushing, triumphant and melancholic.
