The Skinny

Duncan’s voice maintains its trademark suavity, but this time with a backdrop more dynamic than in his previous work.


Duncan continues to push forward on 2019's Health, pairing the spectral melodies and lush harmonies of past outings with club-ready beats and flourishes of snappy R&B.

Under The Radar

Health is easily Duncan's most three-dimensional release yet. It's fun, yet sincere, with top-notch compositions and arrangements that make it one of the best indie pop releases of 2019.


The lush arrangements highlight his sophistication as a songwriter ... if sometimes verging towards the saccharine with repeated exposure.

The Independent

It’s this broad palette that makes this sophisticated and musically accomplished artist so interesting.

This begun so good and fall down. I don't know maybe the more like 'Sufjan Stevens' of Duncan. Good but I think that is like the past album I don't know maybe I have to listen again.
Marks a notable departure from his previous work, this new record feels more polished and well constructed with catchy hooks and better instrumentations.
It retains the line of the previous C Duncan albums but lowers the quality slightly in the originality since it sounds a bit indie, however it adds quite interesting elements that I still do not quite understand, so this disc keeps me intrigued, It is very melodic and piano participation seems accurate and catchy

This chamber pop effort is a mixed bag. The album starts out well enough, with both "Talk Talk Talk" and "Impossible" being shimmering earworms. They both combine the best bits of chamber and indie pop, with incredibly catchy rhythms and hooks. "Impossible"'s synth breakdown at the peak of the song is sublime.
