Black metal had a bit of a renaissance in the 2010’s. The seeds for this resurgence were planted in the 2000’s as bands like Alcest, Agalloch, Deathspell Omega, Ulver and Wolves in the Throne Room (among others) began further experimenting with the traditional black metal formula. VIBE- slowly entering hell

This is what You won’t get what you want should have been, it’s dark, brutal, and most importantly, it made me pee my pants (this is a joke btw,)

The vocals on the album are fucking brutal as hell, but I love it, it’s like if a pirate came back to life as a zombie and hunted everyone down, normally I feel like the vocals are a negative of a Black Death, but not for this one, in fact, it’s more of a plus.

One of the most puzzlying and creative metal albums of the decade so far. Teethed Glory and Injury sounds like a final stage in the black-metal greats' evolutive process, finding many distinct ways of sounding heavy and tremendously obscure, without having to limit their sound to the classic combo of guitars, bass and drums. A truly powerful metal album.
Yeah this is currently standing as my favorite metal album. Ever. Sucks that these guys broke up and what evidence more do we need that Pitchfork sucks?
It's a shame this band retired early in their career. Black Metal Irish band Altar of Plagues released a fantastic body of work called "Teethed Glory and Injury", that presented bleak and off the beating path atmospheric black metal.The production of this records is fantastic with those rifts that feels more chunky and with those off-kilter rifts.
