Instrumentally, this album has few rivals.

Vocally, there is a free-verse style which seems a product of its environment, as this albums sonic landscape free forms into dream spheres of jazz, that being said there are lyrical glitches, stuttering of words, losing the tempo of the song and that could easily be cleaned up with another take, no? unless this was all done in one big session (though that doesn't seem likely you can hear there was a mastering of the instrumentation and a sort of ... read more

There is a special quality to this work of avant-garde jazz, with Dawid crafting peaceful and reflective pieces through her operatic and soulful voice, engaging instrumentals, and her clarinet. One would never believe that the majority of this debut record was recorded in snippets the artist recorded on her phone across the world.
