Filthy Friends have a bit of a late-sixties/early-seventies vibe to them, with straight ahead rock music that has some classic rock-style flanging, traditional song structure, and the kind of easy-to-decipher thoughtfulness that you hear from, say, Jefferson Airplane and Creedence. The band is fronted by Corin Tucker of Sleater-Kinney and Peter Buck of REM, and this seems to be for the both of them a chance to tool around with some different influences.
