You know what? Inter Arma are tired of being inadequately (and reductively) pigeon-holed under the “doom” or “sludge” labels. Inter Arma is a Virginia based Death Metal band and here they gives us their fourth studio album, Sulfur English. Throughout the album hammers at your head with expressive growling vocals, heavy chugging guitar riffs and pummeling drums. The album find its true strength through predominantly long and aggressive tracks, yet also finds moments to bring in melodic detours through engaging guitar solos or softer moments like in the epic power ballad “Stillness”.
