Pleasantly terrifying, perhaps. I suppose it just happened without captivating me in the way other dark ambient or spoken word records do. Surely rating an album based upon my poor conception of time is unreasonable, but this doesn't strike me as anything new, let alone remarkable. Roger's vocals and lyricism usually turn to odd modern pseudo-philosophical nothings which carry most of "Solitude". Strip that away? Zzz...
