Though perhaps not as much of a vibe from start to end as his previous album, "Substance" is yet another impressive collection of UK Garage and bassline from MPH, travelling through some darker soundscapes along the way. Most of the complements and critiques I gave "Refraction" apply here, though to a lesser extent on the former. Still, absolutely a great one to throw on this weekend if you're in the mood to go wild for a night.

With his third record in three years now, MPH's approach to this latest record is his most narrative yet. Taking you on a first-person journey through a night out amongst the hottest UK clubs, "Substance" may not have the flashiest of tracks, but is a some of the grooviest UK garage out there.
