The Line of Best Fit

You Can Do Better is still the JoFo you might know and love, and for anyone coming to it fresh it actually provides a fantastic gate-way album, with fairly obvious retro sensibilities but an energy, enthusiasm and self-confidence that keeps it feeling relevant and modern.

The 405

Brilliantly youthful in their scrappy punk, but more sensible than ever in their choices and omissions, making You Can Do Better the album of their careers so far.

Drowned in Sound

The band’s problems may be more adult now ... but the best way to deal with them is at top speed.

Rather than pointlessly veer across the musical spectrum, ‘You Can Do Better’ is a perfect execution of a well thought out plan.

This is a filler-free exercise that sees the band appealing to their purists and pushing their output forward at the same time.
