I think some of this record is pretty appealing but the album doesn’t come together well full listen. Lots of mediocre post-punk tracks. I think the songs I did enjoy I really enjoyed but there was just too much eh in this. I wanna see something cool from Pottery in the future and I’m rooting for them but this is pretty underwhelming
The debut full-length from Pottery is a tease at their potential, but kinda leaves me wishing these building blocks were arranged differently.
The debut EP from the Montreal five piece, this quirky collection of jaunty, energetic tunes sounds like it came from a bygone area with an original eye to groove, melody and immediacy. Parquet Courts, meet your competition.
