EELS hit us with another album which is just about alright. Just like Hombre Lobo and End Times. It's alright, it's in the same direction. It's safe. It's... almost uninspiring... Sorry. I really like EELS, but this isn't essential in the slightest. Mistakes Of My Youth is good, Parallels is too and so is A Swallow In The Sun.

But it kinda ends there. The appeal of the album isn't huge in general and it makes for nothing but another album in their discography with some fine songs, a fine ... read more
