over the years Marissa Nadler's music has gone progressively darker and now it has acquired an edge and growl with this collaboration with Stephen Brodsky. she also has become a much more disciplined songwriter and everything here is refined and purposeful. long-time fans might miss some of the more blowsy moments of The Saga of Mayflower May or Strangers, but her signature romanticism is more redirected than restrained. top songs are "Space Ghost" I and II, but "Watch the ... read more
Beautiful folk gothic incantations with just the right amount of despair. The two players compliment each other in a magical manner. Sounds timeless to me. I really hope this is not a one off!
