A great and entertaining listen. YG provides great storytelling in a cohesive and interesting album full of bangers. Overall a great project.

BEST TRACKS: BPT, Left Right, My Nigga, Who Do You Love?

WORST TRACKS: Meet The Flockers

Although YG's prime seems over, My Krazy Life captures what YG did best: capturing the classic western sound over modern trap beats. But at the same time, YG fails to make a lot of these songs significant in terms of quality. A lot of YG's lyricism revolves between bitches and killing people, which isn't an issue but he doesn't make it sound interesting really. A lot of it sounds repetitive, which might be an issue considering because the album is less than an hour. ... read more

This album has its flaws, but My Krazy Life never gets old. I probably listened to this about 500 times and I'm still not bored, this shit keeps banging.

Very good gangsta album from west coast. Such a fun and listenable record.
I love YG's flow and style, production is pure west coast. (DJ Mustard on the beats)
Lyrically it is good. My favourite features are: Schoolboy Q, Jay Rock, Kendrick and Jeezy.
Great album to listening to it over and over again.

Standout tracks: I Just Wanna Party, Left Right, Do It to Ya, Really Be (Smokin N Drinkin), 1AM.

YG's debut studio album My Krazy Life is an exception to the rule. Even though most of the lyrical content is the same old standard gangsta fare, YG manages to add a vibe of authenticity, making it sound interesting. It also helps his gangsta cliches are ... read more
