Fun and compelling as such high points can be, nothing on this album reaches the strata of the title track.
His talents as a rapper and lyricist are still stunning, and much of the production is solid, but the album ultimately feels like a one-sided conversation with an insecure friend.
For some artists, being self-aware is humanizing. While for others, it can just illuminate their insecurities. Logic’s fifth studio album Confessions of a Dangerous Mind is an unfortunate example of the latter scenario.
Confessions captures the essence of Logic that wants to evolve into something else but is tethered to the past. It’s an entirely unnecessary album that makes technically polished music, almost second to none.
Confessions is far and away Logic's worst rap album.
