They just keep getting worse don't they. They ran out of creative ideas 5 albums ago.


I really enjoyed this project. For a first listen to a certain metal band I came out more positive than ever. Often I don't like a band within the first listen for a review or something like that. But Amon Amarth is an exception. With great and melodic production and very nice vocals they proved to be a band that's very promising.

I'm an Amon Amarth fan, so I was kind of bound to like this album. Hey, if it ain't broke, don't fix it--Amon Amarth continue to stick to their guns on Berserker, and thankfully bring more creativity to the table than they did on the mediocre Jomsviking. For a band that claims to only record albums out of obligation, they continue to release more-than-quality melodic death metal albums over and over again. This is what Children of Bodom's Hexed should have been.
