If you dig downtempo, then Faker's chill 'Built On Glass' will make for a welcome addition to your collection. Laid-back, soulful and modestly inventive this CD snuck its way into my library politely catching my attention. However, as quick as it came, its gone. For me, this will be a disc I pop in when I'm worn out listening to more inventive, artsy stuff. Let's hope the next release sees Faker pushing harder on the envelope and giving us a more lasting accomplishment.

This guy isn't faking it. Blends a whole bunch of genres and creates something gorgeous. Those horns on "Talk Is Cheap" though!

Really enjoyable album. Smooth, funky, soulful, slow, entrancing. I'm not a huge fan of Chet's singing voice on every track, but for the most part, he's able to carry a tune. I saw him live in Detroit last September, and he put on an amazing show.
