This album slaps
I enjoyed this album from start to finish. They all felt like really good metalcore songs. However, Let Me Be Sad was a bit cheesy lyrically, but the song was still fine. Goodbye which was the interlude was also pretty good. Overall it couldve been better but still was a good amount of fun. Favorite Tracks: Low, Every Time You Leave, DOA.
Metalcore is to heavy metal what Michael Bay is to action films - it relies on memorable moments of aggression and seemingly noble anthems, immersed in the basest form of hyper-masculine entertainment. And as such, it makes for about the same level of engagement with its audience. Trauma is no exception to the rule (see: Architects), bursting at the seams with the shiniest hooks and enough synth-tinged breakdowns to make even Enter Shikari blush. Bow down is pretty great. The rest of the album are just songs you listen to once, go like hmm that was good and then never listen to it again.
