this album is too beautiful for this world

California based shoegaze/alt rock band's new record comes out to be their confident release yet as it successfully blends a range of sounds with a louder, abrasive edge with vocalist's JooJoo Ashworth hushed vocals coalescing into the moody, genuine atmosphere. Fans would not be disappointed with this release.

I wasn't too sure of the slow melodies on Duress, but they actually come together really well to form well-crafted tracks that blend shoegaze, rock and dream pop. I could be wrong in saying this but I also draw a lot of parallels between this album and No Age's latest material, except where I wasn't a fan of that band's 2018 album, Froth pulls this sound off quite well.
