One of the most interesting releases of this year, even tho I don't listen to ambient stuff all the time I can still feel the powerful feeling this album gives you.

definitely one of the best ambient albums i've heard in a while. 2019 has been great for ambient honestly: Kankyō Ongaku was and is still pretty amazing and Solastalgia is right there with it in quality. if you're wondering what you're getting into with Solastalgia, the cover art is perfect: hazy, powerful, and intense ambient pieces that sound like wind blowing off the tops of mountains. this isn't supposed to be blissful and tranquil, it's eerie and emotional, more like Ambient 4 than ... read more

8 albums in three years, and lots of touring inbetween, Irisarri has built his name in quiet spaces and broken landscapes, this record continues his good form and I wouldn't be surprised if he dropped another masterpiece this year, he is always someone to listen to when he drops something quietly and out of the blue, this album cover all-telling of the character his music takes, an textured mountain lost to clouds of sleep.
