A fun, wild, energetic, in your face punk album. It is still not very polished or dynamic, but they show promise.

a pretty cool debut album from the australian punk band of amyl and the sniffers. i discovered it after hearing ‘some mutts can’t be muzzled’ included in a late night radio slot the night before.
maybe i just have to be in the mood for it when i listen but i find myself getting a bit tired as this goes on, even though it runs for under a half hour. it also gets quite repetitive but i suppose that’s to be expected from a punk album.
Guys, I need help. I don't know what's wrong with me. I just put this album on for a casual listen, and some strange things are happening. All of a sudden I'm wearing a Bintang singlet, short shorts, a bucket hat and ugg boots, and I also have a serious craving for an ice-cold can of Foster's lager, a pack of Winny Blues and a sausage roll from the servo. Is everyone else having this issue or is it just me?
In its attempt to sound rough around the edges, it loses flair and striking features. Kinda wish it was more chaotic. Its rapid feels at times aren’t pushed by anything, even for how natural it comes off. Though the layers as a whole are well put together, the songs don’t get better as they go on. Really underused energy, which is obvious from how nothing soars when it could’ve or feels like a heavy slap.
