The second half of this album is easily the strongest, most consistent, and best produced stretch of Rakim's career. The first half plays around a bit too much - some beats drag for a few minutes too long, some are mixed too quietly, just some missteps here and there, nothing outright bad. But holy hell, Keep The Beat to Kick Along is damn near FLAWLESS, as good as you can ask for from Golden Age style hip hop.

Sorry for the hiatus - I found out about a show called 'The Owl House' and fell in love so that's what I've been doing
Anyways this is amazing amazing hip hop from the sweet sweet 90s
I'd definitely recommend
