Very subtle and restrained but the approach grows on you - the style is sort of Slowdive meets Mark Hollis meets Steven Wilson I guess.

this is a beautiful album full of heartfelt and majestic songs. it is heavy on the wistful and the dramatic, but the compositions are so well-balanced and thoughtful that it doesn't become cloying. it reaches some transcendent moments in the final third and is topped off nicely by the sweeping and cinematic "The Ever Turning Wheel". for me, Goswell's vocals could be more prominent, but that is a minor drawback since everything is fully realized here. Starts of as a well produced rocking album and then midway changes course and by the end it's into some far out creative psychedelic force. It's the real deal ready to fill in the void left by Radiohead...
