We're nearing the end of the King Crimson discography diaries with only two more albums left, one of the two we're covering today is the bands 12th album The ConstruKction of Light. So the bands last album THRAK was a pick me up from the drivel of Beat and Three of a Perfect Pair, I wouldn't consider THRAK near the best of the best King Crimson has to offer but it ... read more

While I remember enjoying The ConstruKction of Light upon my first listen, I got kind of nervous to revisit it. I've seen so many people call it the worst King Crimson album, I was worried I'd realize what made it so allegedly terrible. Luckily, I still enjoy this more than most people seem to, and I find it to be yet another hidden gem in the King Crimson catalog.

While I like the industrial sound on here, "The Construkction of Light" (I absolutely dread typing the titles) is just a huge mess of ideas throughout. It also has some of the absolute worst tracks in King Crimson's entire career.

Fav Tracks: ProzaKc Blues; The ConstruKction of Light; Larks' Tongues in Aspic, Pt. IV

Least Fav Tracks: Heaven And Earth (ProjeKct X), FraKctured

With great tracks like ProzaKc Blues, the title track and Into ... read more

The ConstruKction of Light sees the infusion of electronic drums into the harder edged prog rock, just like 1995's THRAK, but this time just the electronic drums alone, as Bill Bruford and his drums are absent due to his ... read more
