'Life in The Fast Lane' is every dads go to song when he's speeding down a freeway at the age of 65 thinking about how much this album meant to him in 76. I hate to break it to you but this album is sucks. How anyone can put this as the greatest of all time baffles me. I can understand its hit, but other than that...its drab.
Most people only know this album because of its juggernaut of a title track, and that song is damn good, but there’s a very good soft rock album behind it.

Kicking off with the title track, one of the most recognisable guitar licks ever rings out behind incredible vocals from Don Henley. We all know of this song. It’s amazing.

The moment you hear Hotel California as the intro, you already have a great feeling that this album is going to be near amazing. But after that, this album really doesn't offer much. I was very disappointed as I was hoping this album would be amazing. It has its tunes but nothing tops Hotel California...

(this album is probably better during a long car drive on a summer afternoon)
