The Needle Drop

If you have a relatively high threshold for lo-fi recordings, you should find Come In to be one of the year's most creative and impassioned rock albums.

there are a lot of comparisons you can make with Weatherday. there is a definitely a Car Seat Headrest influence, with the lyrics about young love, feelings of aloneness, and the overall production style. in some of the instrumentals and lyrics i get some Phil Elvrum influence, especially from like The Glow pt. 2, that same sense of lost love and pain, and the way the songs here still sound a little amateurish while remaining complex and engaging. on some tracks i also get just a little Have A ... read more

An absolute lo-fi GEM. Catchy, colorful indie rock where the rough production enhances their sound rather than detracts from it. Don't miss it.

my sputnik sweetheart SOTY tho
I decided to give this album a higher score than it deserves because my biggest problem with it is the bad mixing, which makes the album sound really messy. If it wasn't the mixing, this album could potentially be an 8 or a 9, who knows? It's a similar case to the first "Twin Fantasy" versionthat was reimagined last year. I really hope this artist gets more famous and is able to make albums with better mixing. Listen to it, it's worth it!
