If you have a relatively high threshold for lo-fi recordings, you should find Come In to be one of the year's most creative and impassioned rock albums.
there are a lot of comparisons you can make with Weatherday. there is a definitely a Car Seat Headrest influence, with the lyrics about young love, feelings of aloneness, and the overall production style. in some of the instrumentals and lyrics i get some Phil Elvrum influence, especially from like The Glow pt. 2, that same sense of lost love and pain, and the way the songs here still sound a little amateurish while remaining complex and engaging. on some tracks i also get just a little Have A ... read more
Great indie stuff, really excited for the future of Weatherday. I also really like this album from a conceptual standpoint, with lots of motifs present throughout the album, like porcelain hands using the riff from come in. Also +2 points for sampling persona 5, I was genuinely shocked when I found out that they did that.
