MASTERPIECE
No, I'm not joking. I shit you not, this song about two automobiles having sexual intercourse is one of the best comedy songs I've ever heard (and when it comes to new wave-inspired post-punk-y indie pop, it's definitely up there). I know it seems like I'm taking the piss, but just listen to the song. It's infinitely catchy, the synths sound amazing, and it's incredibly addictive. I haven't been able to stop listening to this for weeks now.

This mental image is a perfect storm of American masculinity – automobiles, sex, and flexing muscles. The absurdity of this combination, however, drives home the criticism behind it: performative hypermasculinity is often so extreme it becomes a caricature of itself.
