Klaatu enter the 80s with an odd record. Well, so to speak that is. It's another departure compared to the previous album. First two albums were more proggy, then they went for poppier on Sir Army Suit and now this, Endangered Species sounds like it's bother 5 years too early and 5 years too late. Its focus is more on rock, but with mixed results.

Sure, it's got some cool melodies, but this more straightforward style, i'm not sure if it suits them. Like, take Sell Out Sell Out. Listen to it. ... read more

This album probably came out about 8 years too late, progressive rock had moved on from what it brings to the table but it's still got some real good melody to it.

This album blends together a lot but still sounds fine. I really like the closer though because it felt like a detour from all the other songs and had some personal lyrics that I personally really resonated with.
