A lovely four-song EP from the Chicago outfit.
I haven't listened to a new band that has blown me away in quite a while, and Big Day was a breath of fresh air. The shoegaze-esque instrumentals paired with smooth vocal melodies makes for a short and sweet effort from Slow Pulp.
One word to summarize this EP: Airy
BEST TRACKS: all
WORST TRACK: n/a
Chicago based four-piece debut EP shows a lot of promise in a short collection of tracks with an evident sense of coming of age and the changes that goes with it. Utilizing a slightly different musical approach, reminiscent of 80s-90s shoegaze with more rock stylings, this a band carving their own distinct sound just yet.
