I feel like I'm on a beautiful forest while listening to this album, the production speaks for itself, Raveena's voice is beyond powerful, almost ethereal, the whole time I was emerged I felt like floating... very few albums make me feel that way, just exceptional.
Highly sensual, slow, spacious love jams from the Indian-American singer that could feel a bit invariant but ultimately takes us to her own tranquil universe. Gives me a lot of Corinne Bailey Rae's vibes for real.
The first two times I sat down to listen to Lucid, I couldn't focus enough. It just felt too atmospheric - this was the problem: I was trying to hard. Came home yesterday and put it on while doing dishes and cooking dinner, and it was perfect. While some of my favorite atmospheric albums are able to carry me away into a new universe entirely, Raveena's Lucid is a bit more bewitching - it opens the listener's eyes to the beauty and tranquility that lies in themselves and their immediate surroundings.
