Wherever NF’s quest leads him, he can go forth knowing he released a well-crafted album branded by solid sonics and naked honesty. The Search is a worthy foray into an artist’s soul.

The Search is a heavy and emotionally exhausting listen, brimming with troubling allusions to suicide and soul-baring pain.

Making your way through The Search can feel like getting fitted for a straitjacket.

Ahh... NF. One of the few 'real rappers' around according to the many people on twitter who's accounts are dedicated to retweeting american football and UFC news. This album's the whole 'real rapper' package too. Lazy colourless beats. Infantile 'fake-deep' lyrics. Volume cranked vocals and unrelenting energy on those flows for a Red Bull fueled fanbase to really bop their heads aggressively to.

Has there been a more derivative sounding artist in recent history? Aldi's Brand Eminems, Costco's Menthol Shady Slims, 6-Pack of Great Value Gluten-Free Slim Shandy, Marshall's... Mather.... Mattresses? IDK He is corny.

Besides some of the boring instrumentals and the fact that the guy is so innofensive that it actually gets a little bit disgusting some times, this is decent. Of ... read more
I listened to this whole album, all seventy-six minutes of it, and I can barely remember any of it unfortunately. It's a really enjoyable experience, but once you listen to twenty songs that all sound very, very close in production and theme, with little variety or anything to mark which song is which, you start to lose focus onto which song is which and how long it's been listening to the album. I genuinely think this album's sum of its parts is an eighty-four, but I cannot give it that, ... read more

So...honestly I'm not sure why I listened to this. I don't say that because I disliked the album, it's just that there were plenty of other more noteworthy albums released on Friday that I could have listened to instead, but I chose to check out NF's newest effort, The Search. I wasn't all that impressed by his previous works (some interesting moments and shining instances of potential, but otherwise not remarkable or impressive), but I've always been interested in him and I guess I was ... read more
