K.R.I.T. IZ HERE is neither a career-defining album nor a complete flop. Instead of building off the creative momentum of 4eva Is a Mighty Long Time, K.R.I.T. is on auto-pilot.

Well-rounded and creative, the album is another solid showcase of K.R.I.T.'s talents.

The southern rapper’s latest project captures him the same way he always is: perfectly likable, admirably sincere, predictably dependable and dependably predictable.

The Needle Drop

K.R.I.T Iz Here is a disappointing lapse into generic trap rap.

No Ripcord

This album is one of my biggest letdowns of 2019 thus far, and its title does not deserve to reference one of Krit’s best and most important releases.

Let KRIT have his fun. Y'all let Curry do ZUU, but y'all couldn't let my man do this. Smh.
It's so annoying when someone who has proven they're one of the best around doesn't try to have a consistently great discography and this is added to the collection of underwhelming albums. My expectations weren't high, considering the compilation he released earlier this year (a few songs here were added on the album too) and the singles leading up to this album, but from the second half this album just tanks even more. K.R.I.T IZ HERE is a clear attempt at mainstream appeal, which while I ... read more
4eva was basically the album that made me really take KRIT in consideration as an S-tier artist, cuz it was arguably the Rap AOTY for 2017, up there with 4:44 or Big Fish Theory.

His EPs he dropped last year were underwhelming, generic soft moody trap influenced songs without the cold-blooded or the intimidating personality KRIT has on 4eva, so I was actually quite skeptical going into this.

And yeah, I might as well add this to Baroness as the second disturbingly huge disappointment of this ... read more
This album is not bad by any means but to KRIT's standards i't's pretty boring, after one of the most acclaimed albums of the decade krit just couldn't follow up with another amazing album. I get it that he's trying to reach a wider audience but that doesn't mean you have to "downgrade" your music quality.
There's some gems in this album tho
this is actually pretty solid, but K.R.I.T. is capable of so much more that I just can’t help feeling like this is a downgrade
