It's definitely a goofy album, but it has some fun points. It's not a terrible album overall, but it did not hold my interest the whole time.
Usually my reviews are goofy one-liners without much substance, but listening to Foxy Shazam's 2010 self-titled record made me want to go in-depth. So here's an abnormally pseudo-intelligent review, I suppose:

Everything about this album is appealing. Foxy Shazam are like an edgier version of Queen, comparisons will obviously arise as Eric Sean Nally's voice often hits similar ranges as Freddie Mercuri. Its nod to classic dirty rock, its frequent use of the trumpet and piano, and all of its uplifting and often funny lyrics are incredibly enjoyable. There is rarely a moment on this LP that could ever be considered a rough patch as just about every song exudes hope and badassery.
I really enjoyed this one. I found the ending to be a bit weaker than the beginning, but that's fine. It's a fun experience.
I mean... its fine. This was very cheesy, sometimes cringy. Worst track was def Wannabe angel, that song was really cringy.
I'm taking a few points off for the
"I want my fans to think I'm so punk rock
So punk rock and roll!
And all you hipsters say I'm gay,
Well I'm not gay at all" part of Wannabe Angel. This album was pretty over the top and fun, a few standout tracks like Bombs Away and Count Me Out really helped the album. It also drags on a bit at the end ig, I liked it overall ... read more
