Part of me wasn't expecting to like this album. One of the only reasons I like the previous Motionless In White albums as much as I do is because they were one of the first metalcore bands I really liked. Around 2017, Code Orange came around and gifted me a love for the genre, and on my quest to learn more about it, Motionless was a band that I checked out and ended up loving. That being said, in retrospect...yeah, they aren't exactly poets. Some people even consider them Asking ... read more
They start well, but then it gets so repetitive that it gets tired. A lot of unforgettable music from the middle to the end, the desire I had was to stop listening, I just didn't do it out of respect for the beginning, which has really cool moments by the way.
It starts with cool elements, but then, it seems that they fall into the comfort zone and just repeat the same chorus, scream and breakdown formula.

Starting to incorporate more accessible nu metal into their music, for the majority of this LP even, Motionless in White release a pretty decent album here if you ask me. Less industrial / metalcore and more alternative/nu metal laden guitar and music focus/structure. If you can get past the pseudo-deep, basic or bland lyricism often heard in the music at times, you’ll enjoy it more. Musically this is a solid LP. They need to work on their lyrics though, more depth. But I think ... read more
i don't care if "mUsIc FanS" consider this bad music, this project is a blast, kits great metalcore. Thoughts and Prayers is so fucking good, especially the breakdown in it. I think what I enjoy most about this project is Chris' screaming, it sounds so good. The only thing that actually annoyed me is how repetitive the song structuring is , but beside that I really like this.
This is another mediocre release from a band that hasn't found their footing yet. Some of their singles are fantastic. Others are duds. And unfortunately I think this is a slight step down from their previous release. I'm hoping they can refine their sound for the next release.
