I really wanted to give this an 80 because this is the most goddamn 80s thing to ever exist...Guess the 80s are overrated.
(Tainted Love is still an iconic banger though, nothing can change that)

This album finds itself on the thin line between causing great ecstasy and causing a great headache.

An underground world of scars and bruises, but too hedonistic, gets drunk with synth bursts and gives itself up to the perverted magic of clubland.

I'm commenting in the context of the times. As depicted by the cover, neon pastels was the rage. Disco was about to give up the ghost. While campy synth-pop permeated the better dance clubs with Marc Almond as its poster child. Hedonistic tendency was all the rage and "Tainted Love" the soundtrack for the Herpes generation. Frankly, the sound of this disc just didn't stand the test of time all that well.
