Awesome stuff... The Promisse, Living the Dream and Voice are such great tracks.

Good artists are compared to their peers. Great artists are compared across genres. An album non-country music fans can even enjoy. Free of today's country cliches, this album is a deep insight into drugs, love, and personal past. There is even an outstanding cover of the 80s techno-pop song "The Promise" by When In Rome. Sturgill leads a new generation of country artists that will hopefully receive more radio play one day.

A reminder that country music isn't the garbage on the radio. This bluegrass album features meta elements as well as touches of psychedelia and authentic sounding blues lyrics. Something like this is a slap to Jack White and Kenny chesney's face all at once.
